On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 of August, The Invisible Festival will take place in your front room - and it’s all free, free, free!

Who needs Glasto? What so great about V? Home-grown festivals are the way forward! Over the weekend you will find a variety of ‘tents’ for you to visit which will each have a different style and a different host. Plus, each tent will give you the opportunity to donate to Cancer Research UK. So if you have a good time, please remember us! We will also have our very own tent with some fantastic music, exciting links and two very special, yet-to-be-revealed hosts!

Check out the website to get a taste of what it’s all about – http://www.invisiblefestival.org – and look out for the confirmed artists, wristbands, communal food and drink ideas, and decorations to make your festival truly amazing!

Tell your friends, organise a party and we’ll see you there!

There’s something very satisfying about having a good old clear-out. But did you know the top you haven’t worn in three years, or that unwanted vase you got for Christmas could help us fundraise?

How you can help

You will receive a Donation Station bag a few weeks before your Race for Life event.

Simply pop your quality unwanted items into your bag (or bags) and bring them along to your Race for Life event and drop them off at the Donation Station marquee before the warm-up.

We need clothing, accessories, books, CDs, DVDs and household items. Each bag could be worth around £30 and your support is invaluable to our shops.

To find out more about donating your unwanted goods, visit http://www.raceforlife.org/about-us/latest-news/donation-station.aspx and start that clear-out today!

Thank you

Don’t panic – it’s never too late to start your fundraising and we can help you get started.

Set up an online fundraising page
You’re only a few clicks away from getting sponsored by creating an online sponsorship page. It’s a quick, easy and secure way to fundraise and lets your friends and family sponsor you anywhere, anytime.

Your page will stay open up to seven weeks after your event, so you can carry on raising money after you’ve crossed the finish line.

To help you make the most of your page, we’ve put together a handy online fundraising checklist to make sure you smash your sponsorship target.

Don’t forget Gift Aid

Please remind any friends and family who are UK taxpayers to tick the Gift Aid box when they sponsor you. This allows Cancer Research UK to claim at least an extra 25% from the government on every sponsorship donation, at no cost to you!

Please note that if you are fundraising using a paper sponsorship form, we need your sponsorship form in order to claim Gift Aid - so it’s really important to send your form in with your donation!
