Well, Simon, Pino and I are now back home after one
month spent on the road for our first PSP European Tour, and I have to
say...it went beyond my wildest expectations.
Kudos to
Simon for all his work setting up the tour, getting Alec Consol on
board and rounding up a fantastic crew and to Pino for hooking up the
“One Shot ...Not” tv show (as well as the unreal lunch at Zucchero’s
home!), Tom Glagow at our label, Benoît Tersiguel and all his internet
promotion team.
We had high expectations for this tour as a “new band” with no
proven record as headliners. But I believe that we hit all the marks. I
think we fulfilled the wish of our local concert promoters and we thank
Michael, Ricardo and Christian for their great work and faith in us.
It was incredible to meet the new friends/fans face to face (Rich,
Jeanne, Céline, Paolo etc...) and those who came to see us in 3
different countries!!!!
It was hard work for everyone
involved, particularly our great crew, Pascale, Simon and Rallie, but
the music, the support and reception of the audience amply made up for
it in spades. PSP ended up sounding tighter and better than I had ever
hoped and by the time the last gig rolled, we were on FIRE!!!
I, for one, will never forget those wonderful memories of having
the honor and privilege of performing with my 2 most favorite
musicians, in BOTH my home towns, in front of my family, my childhood
friends from first grade and the Conservatoire, musicians I revered
growing up as well as old and new friends.
I am forever grateful for this experience. (Philippe Saisse)
