Robert Petit Definately a real hero. Dallaire's insight is right on and his perspective stunning. I can't look at Kofi Annan and Bill Clinton in a favorable light because of their complicity. Linda Melven's "A People Betrayed" is also a good read on the Rwandan Genocide.

Cale Holmes In this day and age governments and even the UN put politics ahead of human rights. It's sad. You, General Dallaire used your military experience to try and save Rwanda. I will always remember you as a hero and the world will one day as well. I wish you were UN Secretary-General. Infact, you deserve the generalshi...p of the 'world's' organization.

I'm grateful you were able to tell us what really happened - behind the scenes that the media wanted to show, on the ground with the Rwandans, and through your eyes as someone struggling to make a ...difference every moment of every day. Canada, the UN, and the int'l community failed Rwanda terribly. I'm committed to social justice for all and nurturing education and empowerment of girls in Uganda through sustainable community development - grassroots solutions that come from community members.
