Rockabilly has now entered the echelon of American roots music and with good reason. Very little of todays "rock" music would be acceptable without it (but don't blame rockabilly, I know Gene Vincent would hate most of today's hit parade from Hell) and its still rock 'n' roll in its purest, most unadulterated form. Hip hop is dead son! Rockabilly lives on!
