Raymond Hobgoblin I noticed that Time mag put Ubik as one of the greatest novels since 1923. Not that Time is the ultimate authority of good literature, but that choice definitely helped. I think Ubik was a good choice too, though they could have gone with Androids or Three Stigmata. But Ubik makes that sort of odd argument against consumer culture that I like.
