I was thinking about it - since it only has supermeflecto (the four vinyl rods in each arm instead of two silver ones) I think it's an older model. The only new-ish Persols that I can think of with that shape and supermeflecto is Persol 2720S, the Bond ones. :) Those look too thin to be the Bond ones.
Anyways, take a lo...ok at Persol.com's catalog and look for anything with that shape that has supermeflecto and not the two silver lines. You might be able to find what you're looking for. :)Lire la suite

Oh man, I just got my Persol 2862s in light havana / orange gradient lenses. I definitely recommend this pair. It's basically aviator-style done with no metal.
As usual, they are the most comfortable pair of sunglasses ever.

I guess I'll post mine too. I have Persol 2720S (Casino Royale's second pair, with brown lenses and polarized), vintage pair 624 (Like 649 but more subdued, in black frame and brown lenses), and Persol 58230 (the Terminator sunglasses in rare tortoise shell frame and brown lenses).
I love them all. Persol is the god-company of comfort.

Persol Brett: No, there is no real difference, 60mm is just a bigger model. Some brands, like Ray-Ban have a very noticeable difference between lens size models (Especially 50mm vs. 54mm RB4105s, the folding wayfarers) but Persols usually look the same between sizes - just bigger. I hope that helps. I say go for it. :)
