I love Ms. Liberty. I enjoy seeing her as I land and take off from Newark Liberty International. This airport is called such because Liberty Island is actually within the borders of New Jersey. Sure, you can see her from Manhattan and even get there by ferry from New York City, but She's in Jersey.

Nice biography of Miss Liberty, but my eye sort of hung up on the phrase "copper patina-clad statue." Since a patina is a discoloration caused by oxidization, in this case of copper - which is why she turns green - a more accurate phrasing would be "the patinaed copper-clad statue." I also wished for more info on the restoration work done on her in-- was it 1976? Thereabouts. Cleaning, strengthening, the gold torch, etc.
