Folks Divine

FOLKS DIVINE is David Folkmar's solo project.
Author - composer - perfomer of Belgo-Danish upbringing, David was educated in an English speaking environment.
David was influenced by Radiohead, Elbow, U2, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam and even Peter Gabriel and has worked on numerous mock-ups with his acolyte, Paolo Pan, who is also an author and composer. In 2008, David put a few mock-ups on the Akamusic site, where 185 web surfer producers were rapidly convinced of investing in his single.
Meeting Werner Pensaert (producer - engineer - mixer of titles for bands such as K's Choice, Hooverphonic, Rammstein, Live, U2 and many others) was an absolute revelation. The pair hit it off immediately and this complicity can be felt on the 3 titles of the "REMEMBER" single! The single stands out, not only musically, but also thanks to it's cover realised by ALVARI, a talented Belgian artist (http://www.alvari.be).

Folks Divine has currently launched his album's production hoping to raise the 50.000€ necessary for the recording of a complete album. New pieces recorded with Werner Pensaert will shortly be available online.

FOLKS DIVINE est le projet solo de David Folkmar.
Auteur – compositeur – interprète d’origine belgo – danoise, il a, dès son plus jeune âge, été bercé dans un environnement culturel anglophone.
Influencé par Radiohead, Elbow, U2, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam ou encore Peter Gabriel, il a travaillé sur de nombreuses maquettes avec son acolyte, Paolo Pan, lui-même auteur et compositeur. En 2008, Folks Divine dépose quelques maquettes sur le site Akamusic, où il convainc rapidement 185 internautes producteurs.
La rencontre avec Werner Pensaert (réalisateur – ingénieur – mixeur de titres et d’albums pour des groupes tels que K’s Choice, Hooverphonic, Rammstein, Live, U2 et bien d’autres encore) est une révélation. Le courant passe tout de suite et cette complicité se ressent tout de suite dans les 3 titres du single « REMEMBER » !
Outre le son, le single se démarque par sa pochette dont la réalisation a été faite par un talentueux artiste belge du nom d’ALVARI ( http://www.alvari.be ).

Actuellement, Folks Divine vient de relancer sa production dans l'espoir d'atteindre les 50.000 euros nécessaires pour l'enregistrement d'un album complet. De nouveaux morceaux enregistrés avec Werner Pensaert seront prochainement mis en ligne.
