I was wondering if there are any Washington DC based artists who would be interested in forming a Max/Msp Jitter study group? The group would be a place where fellow artists could meet (monthly/weekly??) to share ideas/patches and expand and push creative space Max and similar programs (like 'processing' and 'PureData'...) can provide, in a community/group forum? I am new to Cycling 74's suite of programs and would love to meet and collaborate with like minded folks. Ping me if you are interested or have resource or ideas to get the idea into motion?Lire la suite

Michael Chenetz I haven't come out of my basement all weekend. I have been designing patches for M4L to work with my Lemur and Monome. This is highly addictive!!!

Julien Bayle any info about Max for Live for poor folks like me who already own ableton live & Max5, and who cannot participate to the amazing beta test even if they have a very interesting project like "making the protodeck interface to Live" ?? indeed, the "translation" of my python code to a higher level framework could be a concrete case of study, fmo. :-)

Introduction Lately, I've been working on some "classic" OpenGL programming within Jitter, and I've been using jit.gl.sketch to do that work; it is very close to the OpenGL syntax that you find in most books, and is fairly forgiving in terms of incoming data type...

One of the best experiences of the last year was attending the Expo 74 conference. As some have already stated, it was refreshing to be part of a gathering that didnt require an explanation of what Max did, and I never felt like I needed to be ashamed about my excitement over a patching trick...

Alex Stahl is a veteran collaborator and this has never been more evident than in his collaboration with Composer Paul Dresher for the opera Schick Machine. As Robert Henke pointed out in the recent Max/MSP/Jitter Conference, Expo '74, many of us spend years working on the same Max patch...
