Greetings LvMI facebook fans,
As many of you know, Dr. Robert Ekelund is not only a brilliant Austrian Economist but also a highly skilled pianist. He is participating in the 2009 Cliburn YouTube Contest. Pianists from all over the world have submitted videos, via youtube, for public judgment. Dr. Ekelund can be seen performing on the Mises Institute's legendary Bosendorfer piano. We hope that you will all watch your fellow Austrian's video and cast your ballot to support him.

As you have surely noticed, the Ludwig von Mises Institute’s facebook page has undergone major renovations. Our fans now have a fantastic place to visit daily to keep updated on the latest news, events, photos, and publications. Fans can also take advantage of the “discussions” tab to engage in stimulating conversations with one another on all things Austrian.
Sadly, due to the page’s previous state of disrepair, we only have around 8,000 fans. We are determined to change this and we need your help. We want everyone who is currently a fan to recruit their friends, coworkers, family, neighbors, people walking on the sidewalk, everyone. We need our fans to persuade others to become official fans. By doing this you are helping to spread the word about free markets and free individuals. There are millions of disgruntled citizens out there who are fed up. More and more people are becoming disillusioned with Obama. The time is right to introduce people to the Austrian principles. It should be easy to convince them to become an official fan of our new and improved fan page.
Also, in an effort to improve the content and encourage everyone to utilize this fantastic resource, we are having a contest. We will be closely following the topics under the discussions tab. Every week we will choose the best discussion topic and post it, and the fans’ contributions, on the official mises.org blog. In addition, we will select one dedicated fan as a “Top Contributor.” Each month we will select a Contributor of the Month from the weekly winners; this dedicated Austrian will receive a free book published by the Ludwig von Mises Institute.
This facebook bomb, and personal and economic freedom, cannot succeed without your help. Get started now, message everyone you know, put the link on your status and send out emails. If you have a blog or website, use the html code provided below to add a widget, this enables your readers to become a fan in a single click without ever leaving your site. Help us reach our goal of 10,000 fans by the end of 2009!
