Marie Amar is a French artist born in 1962 in Paris where she lives and works.
Her images are situated between photography and scupture, characterized by their reduced and aestheticized composition. Through their numerous allusions to genres of classical painting as well as to digital production and modification, they l...eave the realm of classic photography.
Transience and processes of decay are central motifs in her work, which Amar transforms according to formal principles.
