Walnut, CA- On Saturday, December 19, Los Angeles D-Fenders players, Ryan Forehan-Kelly, Diamon Simpson, Dar Tucker, Michael Fey, Sasha Cuic and Lawrence McKenzie, along with Head Coach Chucky Brown hosted a basketball skills clinic for basketball players from the Walnut NJB.
National Junior Basketball is a non-profit... youth basketball league based on sportsmanship and player development. NJB consists of more than 25,000 participants in six states and the program offers three divisions for boys and girls in first through 12th grade.
The D-Fenders players and Chucky Brown each hosted a specific basketball skills station where groups of kids were able to participate in different drills such as, ball handling, defense, shooting, and rebounding. The event was held from 2-4pm at the Walnut Gymnasium and Teen Center.

Los Angeles D-Fenders
Los Angeles, CA- On Saturday, November 22, the Los Angeles D-Fenders took part in a community initiative to provide nearly 2,000 families from inner-city Los Angeles, with Thanksgiving dinner.
D-Fenders players, Ryan Forehan-Kelly, Joe Crawford and Longar Longar, along with Head Coach Chucky Brown gathered to help dist...ribute the turkeys just in time for the holiday season.
Approximately, 1,800 frozen turkeys were distributed in the courtyard of the Los Angeles Dream Center. Members of these families began waiting in line at 2pm the day prior to the event, to ensure that they would receive a turkey before they ran out. In feeding numerous needy families in the inner cities of Los Angeles, the second annual Turkey Giveaway was said to be a huge success.
Poverty in Los Angeles is overwhelming, and many hard workers have been laid off of their jobs. The D-Fenders, in partnership with the Dream Center understands that there are many people who simply cannot afford to celebrate Thanksgiving and are doing their part to help. With the help of the Dream Center and volunteers like the D-Fenders, these families were able to enjoy a holiday feast that they deserve.
