got mine on my birthday. It's great - took it to the beach and didn't have to pack so many books. now I've downloaded the Kindle reader on my laptop as well, so if I have a few minutes at work, I can read my books there as well.
Didn't realized how much I loved it until I started using it.

Mari Paccione Stein I love my Kindle. We travel thousands of miles a year and this device makes my lif so much easier and hassle free. It's really great when sitting on a beach in Maui and I finish one book and can just go on to the next. No having to run back to my room or the car to fish out another book to read! Becky I don't know how I ever managed to read before I got my Kindle! Now it is my constant companion and goes everywhere I go. I have a Patagonia zippered case that protects it and folds back when I am reading to take up the least space possible. It is all so light weight I can read for hours and not even notice I am holdin...g a book! Everyone needs to experience Kindle!!!!!!! Did I mention you can have a zillion books on it?
Annie Bobby i tried the nook but was not happy with it. i also had a difficult time with there customer service. i received my kindle within the first week that i ordered it. i have been very pleased with it and still learning how to use it.
