In a continuation of last Sunday's episode, the season finale focuses on Rush and the team as they delve into the 2005 murder case of the first female cadet of a local military school who didn't live beyond her first semester. The case dredges up some painful memories for Rush, who forged her own difficult path as the first female homicide detective in the Philadelphia Police Department.
Capping off the season, the music of Pearl Jam will be featured exclusively during the episode. This marks the first time Pearl Jam has permitted a program to make selections from their entire catalog of music. A number of featured songs will be from the band's 1991 debut album Ten, which is being reissued on March 24.
