Travis

Travis I love the djay program...i went from making itunes playlists to djing every thursday at the local dance club...just picked up the imic too it's legit! I love that i precue songs now. I really want the spin, but that's to much money to drop...plus i don't need another serial number for the program...is there anyway i c...an just buy the spin separately without the software?

Thomas von Festenberg-Pakisch

Thomas von Festenberg-Pakisch Thank You. There are indeed some songs with a lock icon, but pre-cueing doesn't work with other songs (without the icon) either.
I remember, pre-cueing did work with the demo-version. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought it, because it is a very important tool for me.

Could it be that your songs are DRM-protected (indicated by a "lock" icon in the library)? Those songs are not supported for pre-cueing.

Thomas von Festenberg-Pakisch HELP PLEASE. Although connecting the iMic-Adapter with my MacBook Pro, I could not use "preview" while mixing. Everything else worked fine. Thanks a million for help.

What happens when you connect the iMic and when you open the pre-cueing window in djay?

The djay website is http://www.djay-software.com (also on the left here).
There are various sites you can post your mixes on, e.g. http://www.play.fm and http://soundcloud.com.

Peter

Peter which mixers would DJay be compatible with besides "Spin"? Apple seems to think the new stock won't be in till March. Any suggestions?

There’s currently no way to change that, but we’re working on improving the BPM handling.
Note that Automix and the "Sync" button will both automatically use the closest multiple of the BPM for syncing. If your BPMs are half or double of what they should be, synching should still work correctly.

Glen

Glen I need help with the BPM - I sent an email to "support", but I thought I would try here too. I just upgraded to V3 and it's calculating the BPM incorrectly and I need to be able to "tap" the BPM again. Is that somewhere and I'm just not seeing it? The BPM analysis is calculating them incorrectly and I need to do it man...ually to get it right... HELP!!!

Please check you’re running the latest version 3.0.1 - the tapping should work with the Alt-2 (left turntable) and Alt-9 (right turntable) keyboard shortcuts.
Also, as I said, if the BPM is half of what it should be, syncing and Automix will still work.
If you bought djay 2 before you can always use that too.
Hope that helps.

Zvonko Nikolich

Zvonko Nikolich Can anyone recommend speakers that I can use with djay and my MacBook Pro 15"? I am not looking for speakers strong enough to fill an amphitheater with sound - more for home parties.

Probably powered speakers would be the way to go. Any speakers will work as long as you end up with a standard 3.5mm mini-stereo plug to go into your Mac. I would recommend contacting your local store.
