Frances Chan Also, for the summer program in Japan, are there language classes, or is it all activities with your host family? Thanks in advance!

Frances Chan Hi! I'm really interested in the Japan Summer Program (for highschoolers), especially since I currently study Japanese as a foreign language. However, my parents are not very convinced that a staying with a host family is a good idea, although I think that's a very important part of cultural exchange. Are there any go...od ways to convince them that staying with a host family isn't so bad?

Tina Meyers I haven't seen anything out here yet, but the student profiles for the International Students are starting to appear on the site. It might even be a good resource for parents who are nervous about letting their kids travel as Americans Overseas to start by hosting an International Student themselves.
