On Wednesay, December 2nd, Frederique Constant Founder and CEO Peter Stas hosted his first-ever Master Class on how to build a watch brand at New Broadway Theater of the New York Institute of Technology. Over 200 students were in attendance, as well as select members of the press, retailers and friends. The audience li...stened closely as Mr. Stas walked them through the history and growth of Frederique Constant and how the brand is positioned in the global economy. Questions and answers followed as well as three special prizes. The Professional Enrichment program GAM had challenged students to design a Frederique Constant timepiece. Christopher Engel won his very own Frederique Constant watch for best design (image attached). Two other students won their own watches in the raffle. Guests were treated to refreshments and hors d’oeuvres following the Master Class and a chance to meet Mr. Stas face-to-face.
The Frederique Constant team, with select retailers and press, headed over to famed uptown eatery – Orsay – for a celebratory dinner of delicious French food and wine.
The very next day, Thursday, December 3rd, members of the press were invited to Brasserie Ruhlmann – located in the heart of Rockefeller Center and directly across from the newly lit Christmas Tree – to view the Frederique Constant collection and speak with Mr. Stas and the rest of the Frederique Constant team. Guests were treated to charcuterie, cheese and other tasty treats in the festive restaurant. The editors responded very favorably to both the men’s and women’s collections.

From October 30th till November 1st, 2009, the Riding school of Corminboeuf organized the Swiss intercantonal horse show of jumping; a weekend rich in surprises and in sportsmanship. Frédérique Constant supported this event and rewarded the winner of this competition, the young Swiss horseman Maurice Pollien, by offering him a watch.

Every year, the international woman’s magazine Cosmopolitan runs their Beauty Awards show and this time round it was held in ShangHai and we were extremely proud to be one of the principal sponsors of the event. Many of the world’s star brands were present and we were no exception. This is a particularly high profile e...vent held in a country that has developed out of all recognition so it was only appropriate that we were there.
At the opening of the Awards the red carpet was rolled out to welcome the stars of Chinese stage and screen, and amongst the actresses present were Vivan Wu, Zhuziyan, Huosiyan, Landy, Ann, Yaochen, Huangxiaolo, AnnieWu, Huke, and Ambose Xu, stars known to all of China and Chinese audiences around the globe, and we at Frederique Constant were especially gratified that these famous celebrities chose to wear our watches to the show. At a beauty awards show it was important that these beautiful women were able to wear beautiful creations, and our watches definitely fall into that category!
At the show everyone was clearly living their passion and we are happy to have helped contribute to that.
